This glass prism is made using optical glass and will demonstrate that white light is made up of the colours of the rainbow. This is known as a spectrum.
Back in the 17th century, Sir Isaac Newton was the first to prove that white light was in fact made up of different colours. He used a glass prism in his experiments.
To create your rainbow spectrum it is best to find a light-coloured wall (or white paper) near a light such as your window or lamp and hold the prism up to the light. You may have to move it around a little to see the rainbow.
Size: 50mm long. Each face 28mm. Corners are ground for safety. Glass Prism comes in a blister pack.
